Amnesty International calls for immediate arrest of insufferable Bahraini blogger

MANAMA: Amnesty International this morning called for the immediate arrest and imprisonment of prominent and downright nauseating Bahraini blogger Hussein Aleef.

The human rights organisation claimed that it was in the world’s interests that Aleef, whose incessant blogging has reached what it described as “tediously self-indulgent levels”, be incarcerated and kept away from all forms of communication with immediate effect.

“We are requesting that the Bahraini authorities act now to prevent Aleef posting any more smug pictures of himself leaning against his car, cheesy life-affirming quotes about reaching ones goals or crap memes pinched from other corners of the internet and made out like his own,” said Philip Luther, Middle East and North Africa Director at Amnesty International in a statement.

“And if he wanted to go on a very brief hunger strike while he was in there, that probably wouldn’t be a bad thing judging by his latest batch of selfies.”
