Middle East Beliebers take to streets in Lamborghinis in solidarity with pop idol
Regional fans offer their support following pop idol’s arrest
Following the shock arrest of pop heartthrob Justin Bieber yesterday for drink driving and drag racing in Miami, fans across the Middle East have come out in force to offer their support for their fallen idol.
In Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Kuwait and Muscat, thousands of teen Beliebers last night took to the streets in yellow Lamborghinis, showing their solidarity for the One Less Lonely Girl-crooner, who had been stopped by Florida state police at the wheel of the same Italian sportscar.
“As soon as I heard the awful news, I just wanted to do something special for Justin,” said Qatari resident Rita Al-Chandos, 17. “A fellow Belieber tweeted that we should all go out in our yellow Lambos and it seemed the perfect way to show our support. I’m just pleased he didn’t go for green as that one’s currently in the garage having the seats redone.”
