Boastful Ramadan faster “could go for another month, easy”

Show-off tells colleagues that some days he didn’t even break his fast at all

ABU DHABI: With Ramadan drawing to a close for another year, sources confirmed yesterday that Ahmed al-Shabba – a renowned braggart – had claimed to colleagues that he could easily fast “for another month, probably even two”.

According to insiders at Firaz Accountancy, the noted show-off nonchalantly told the receptionist that “some days, I didn’t actually break fast at all”.

“You know I hardly felt a twang of hunger, honestly. Most of the time I completely forgot I was doing it, but that’s just me,” he was overheard saying in the kitchen to a group of interns.

Al-Shabba was later seen asking the office cleaner to “try waving a sandwich or something in front of my face, go on, do it, I won’t even flinch”.
