Clinton urges Egyptian military to support handover to Morsi or Mursi

CAIRO: Concluding her first visit to Egypt since the historic presidential election last month, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has urged the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to ease a democratic transition of power to either Mohamed Morsi or Mohamed Mursi.

“Either one of the two will be fine,” she said. “But I have come to Cairo to reaffirm the strong support of the United States for the Egyptian people and its new president, Morsi or Mursi.”
