Confused shopper concerned about rebels gaining ground in mall, urges France to increase troops

The sort of rebels Bronwyn-Major hopes won’t be interrupting her mall visits while on holiday


DUBAI: Citing what she had been “recently seeing on the news”, a female shopper described as regularly confused by friends has expressed her concern about Islamist rebels gaining ground in the mall.

“It’s just terrible, isn’t it?” Hattie Bronwyn-Major, a 57-year-old American on vacation in Dubai, told fellow shoppers in the Mall of the Emirates. “Especially as it’s the Shopping Festival. I just hope French airstrikes and increased troop presence prevents the insurgents from interrupting the sales as it’d really put a dampener on my holiday,” she added.
