Draw Something game banned in Saudi after teenage boy draws something rude

RIYADH: It’s been this year’s mobile gaming sensation, but now Draw Something, a Pictionary-style game that invites players to draw random items that their opponent must then guess, has been sensationally banned across Saudi Arabia.

According to reports, the decision was made after a teenage Draw Something fan in Riyadh used the game to draw something deemed immoral and against the values of the country’s strict laws.

Sources in Saudi claim that the unnamed 15-year-old had been asked to sketch two watermelons, but apparently “got a little bit carried away with himself”.

Once he realised the extent of his actions, he is said to have immediately turned himself over to his local religious police.
