Dubai businesses hoping to shamelessly capitalise on U.S. same-sex marriage ruling without mentioning the whole ‘gay’ thing

Many plan on using rainbow imagery to brazenly jump aboard bandwagon

Shops and other businesses across the emirate of Dubai were reportedly frantically attempting to come up with ways to brazenly take advantage of the new ruling over same-sex marriages in the U.S. yesterday.

“Absolutely everyone is talking about it, especially on social media, so it would be a crying shame not to flagrantly jump on the bandwagon in order to increase sales,” said Dina Mansour, managing director of the Tops N’ Fingers beauty salon chain. “But obviously there’s no way we could say anything about, you know, the gays.”

Mansour said she was considering a special ‘Rainbow Package’ special offer to mark the occasion, and has already started incorporating the rainbow colours into her online marketing material.
