Dubai Summer Surprises 2012 18.7% more surprising than last year

DUBAI: This year’s Dubai Summer Surprises festival is set to beat previously held records for surprise levels, according to early reports. While official counting is yet to be finalised, figures released earlier today indicate that DSS 2012 will be “at least 18.7 per cent more exciting” than last year’s event, with some experts suggesting it could reach up to 20 per cent.

“The level of surprise at Dubai Summer Surprises has genuinely surprised us all,” claimed Haamid Agudime, chief statistician at the Gulf Centre for Mall Research. “Obviously, we’ve been very careful not to include our own surprise levels into the overall figure.”
