Passengers flying with Etihad Airways soon won’t have to worry about baggage allowance – they’ll have an entire house to fill thanks to the Abu Dhabi-based airline’s luxurious new first class offering.
Located on the upper deck of Etihad’s newest fleet of planes, The Villa comprises a double bed, en-suite shower and nine-bedroom villa with living room, kitchen, study, maids room and infinity pool with Jacuzzi.
“We wanted to make sure our most privileged customers can truly relax while flying with us, and what better way to relax than with a glass of bubbly while sat on a reclining lounge seat located in a 3,000 square metre villa furnished by the world’s top interior designers,” said Etihad CEO James Hogan at the announcement.
Special features of The Villa include a chilled mini-bar, Wi-Fi access and 24-seat private cinema.
“Why should people have to compromise when travelling by air?” said Hogan. “Our most exclusive customers demand the very best, and that includes being able to watch the latest films, choose from our vast selection of onboard refreshments and drive directly into The Villa’s underground parking facility with space for up to 10 cars.”
The Villa will be available on select routes from July with prices starting at $600,000 for a family of five travelling with one maid, coming with complimentary hot towel, vanity pack and VIP gym access with personal trainer.
