Former Dubai expat shocked at how little he’s been to the theatre since returning to UK

DUBAI: Despite spending much of his two years living in the UAE complaining endlessly about the lack of culture in the country, Brit Karl Thompson has found that since he moved back to the UK nine months ago he has incredibly failed to visit the theatre once.

“It’s amazing really, given how much I used to go on about how there wasn’t any decent theatre in Dubai,” Thompson told The Pan-Arabia Enquirer from his flat in north London. “I keep meaning to go, but just haven’t found the time and there’s loads of new reality TV shows that I keep getting sucked into.”
