Groupon Middle East writers running out of irreverent ways to describe brunch

DUBAI: Writers at Groupon Middle East have issued a issued a warning that they are running out of irreverent and offbeat ways to introduce brunch offers.

“At first it was fine dreaming up wacky openers about eating or buffets or even completely off-the-wall subjects that could then be cleverly linked to an all-you-can-eat discount somewhere,” sniffed one tearful scribe at the deal website’s Dubai office who wished to remain anonymous.

“But then, as the offers kept on flooding in, it just became ridiculous. One time I started a blurb about 40 per cent off at an international buffet with something stupid about the Siege of Leningrad. It was mental.”
