Israeli settler moaning about neighbour’s fence fails to appreciate irony of situation

Resident of West Bank settlement claims garden fence cuts illegally into his land

JERUSALEM: Eyewitnesses have reported that Shimon Levy, a resident of the Israeli settlement of Oranit, has been groaning endlessly about his neighbour’s new garden fence for the past three days without even the slightest hint of humour.

According to friends, the Boston-born settler has been complaining that the fence “cuts illegally into his land”, adding that his neighbor “hasn’t even been living there as long as he has”, without once stopping to appreciate the irony of the situation.

“You know, that bloody fence totally ruins my view of the Separation Barrier.”

    I hear the Israelis will be fielding a very robust fencing team at the Rio Olympics in 2016.
    They will be competing in all events, Epe, foil, rapier, but specialising in the new ‘razor-wire’ and ‘jersey barrier’ disciplines.
