Karama shopkeepers admit to supplying sportswear for “several” regional Olympic teams

DUBAI: Following the news that the Egyptian Olympic team were given fake Nike kits for the London games, several shopkeepers in Dubai’s Karama district have admitted that they’ve been doing a roaring trade in the run up to the sporting event.

“We’ve kitted out several teams from the region,” said one owner, yesterday. “I think we’ve almost sold out of our genuine Nikey Swoosh trainers and are down to the last pair of Adibok shorts.”

Yet another example of PAE’s daring, no-stone-unturned investigative reporting. Keep it up and there’s a risk that Fox News might poach your fine journalists to assist with its “truth and nothing but the truth” coverage. That would be an unbearable loss to all of us here who depend on you to uncover the stories that really matter.
