Kim Kardashian (right), was considered a "vital cog" in solving the Palestine/Israeli problem, according to UN Secretary General Banky Moon
NEW YORK: UN chiefs are reportedly deeply concerned that the renewal of Keeping Up With The Kardashians could spell disaster for the Middle East peace process.
Last week, the E! Network announced it had secured the rights to their hit reality show – which features the everyday antics of the loveable Kardashian clan – for a further three seasons.
However, the news came just over a month after bootylicious socialite Kim had outlined her intentions to search for a peaceful solution to the Palestine/Israel problem and rumours surfaced that she was to replace Tony Blair as special envoy for the Quartet on the Middle East.
While the sexy star hasn’t yet commented on her commitment to the region, one insider at the UN suggested her new TV contract could sound the death knell for what has been labelled ‘Kim’s Two-State Solution’.
“If Kim drops out to focus on the reality show, we’re probably going to have to press the pause button on the peace process for three years,” he warned.
“This is the last thing we wanted to happen,” said Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian National Authority.
