As the unrest in Ferguson, Missouri continues to dominate headlines, governments from across the Middle East have told the Obama administration that they would be willing to wait until US authorities finish shooting their own citizens dead before receiving further orders on how they should behave.
“It’s clear Obama’s got a lot on his hands at the moment, so we’ve told him that we don’t mind hanging on for a bit until the US has stopped gunning down unarmed teenagers at home before being told what we’re doing wrong here,” said a source from the Fatah government in the West Bank.
“I’ll level with you, it’s very confusing keeping up with the US,” added an unnamed politician in Yemen. “I mean, sending troops onto the streets and shooting your own people in cold blood is something we’ve had an earful for in the past. Is this a change in policy?”
