Motorists urged to take extra care when taking Instagram snaps of rain as wet weather continues

With many parts of the UAE experiencing a second day of rain, motorists have been urged to take extra care when photographing the extreme weather to upload on social media.

“We’re asking those behind the wheel to have already pre-selected the sepia filter before they set off,” said road safety campaigner Adnan Blick. “And we would advise against drivers taking panoramic shots from the fast lane.”

Blick advised that the use of selfie-sticks, however, remained a category 4 offence.
