Netanyahu hopes apocalyptic vision of total nuclear devastation hasn’t “put anyone off” holidaying in Eilat this summer

Despite painting a terrifyingly bleak image of a post-apocalyptic Israel should nuclear discussions with Iran be allowed to continue, Netanyahu has followed up his speech to US Congress by urging tourists not to be put off from visiting his country.

“Yeah, sure; death, destruction and post-nuclear wasteland etc etc, but until Iran actually gets the bomb, the sun-kissed beaches and azure-blue waters of Eilat are really something,” he told reporters after returning to Israel.

“But, you know, due to urgency of the situation and the fact that Iran really is just minutes away from developing devastating intercontinental ballistic missile or something, we do recommend going right now, before it’s all completely gone.”
