Paris Hilton renames herself Paris Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa

RAS AL KHAIMAH: In an effort to revive her flagging international profile, vapid socialite Paris Hilton has – like many celebrities before her – turned to the Middle East for help. During an announcement made yesterday afternoon, the heiress said that following an exclusive marketing arrangement she was henceforth renaming herself Paris Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa.

“It’s the perfect fit,” she said while posing for photographs. “I, like, totally adore Ras Al Khaimah. It’s hot.”

The move comes as Paris Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa continues to lose ground to Kim Kardashian across international celebrity markets.

Analysts have suggested the deal with the emirate is a clear signal to Kardashian’s growing presence in the Middle East. Earlier this year, Kardashian unveiled her two-state solution for Israel and Palestine, and rumours circulated that she was to take over from Tony Blair as special envoy for the Quartet on the Middle East. She also launched a new milkshake in Dubai.

“Obviously, Paris Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resport & Spa is trying to catch up with Kim’s market-leading position in the UAE,” said Roy al-Jubilee, an A-list Stock Watcher for E! Arabia. “Let’s see what Kim does next.”

The move comes just months after Ras Al Khaimah unveiled plans for a $1billion Real Madrid theme park to be built in the emirate. Paris Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa has her own links with the Spanish giants, with allegations that she enjoyed ‘steamy romps’ with its Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo early last year.

Asked whether she might reunite with Ronaldo in Ras Al Khaimah, Paris Hilton Ras Al Khaimah Resort & Spa gave a typically suggestive answer.

“Who knows what might happen in RAK,” she winked.
