Playboy slammed for removing women from Saudi magazine

RIYADH: International gentleman’s periodical Playboy has been slammed for removing women from its pages in Saudi Arabia.

In images in the magazine that are otherwise identical to those used around the world, females have been airbrushed out completely.

Women’s groups have labelled the move “shameful” and “a disgrace”.

A spokesperson for Playboy said: “We should have reacted and realised that excluding women from the Saudi Arabian version of the magazine is in conflict with the Playboy Group values.”
