Ralph Lauren targets Gulf market with “even bigger horse”

Not big enough, say critics
“Our research found that there is a strong demand across the Gulf and wider region for larger equine motifs,” said Saif Al-Sownd, the company’s regional director. “In fact, the most common complaint we get is that the horse isn’t visible from 50 metres.”
Al-Sownd said that Ralph Lauren’s new ‘Bigger Horse Logo’ range would be unveiled in time for next year’s Spring/Summer season, adding that the company was also looking into “luminous horses” to ensure the brand could be seen at night.
According to industry experts, an as-yet-unconfirmed “elite” line, in which every polo shirt purchase comes with an actual horse and rider, is planned for 2014.

Are they also planning to include female horses and riders?
This is so sad. One would think people would be concerned with quality rather than showing off the logo. Its classy as is, why magnify the logo!
Great!
Typical Middle East. Fashion and style is about subtlety in most other fashion capitals. Middle East they want to shove it in your face.
