Royal baby to be named Qatar Airways after landmark sponsorship deal
10-year deal rumoured to be worth hundreds of millions of dollars
LONDON: Following what advertising executives have described as a “landmark deal”, representatives for the gas-rich Gulf state of Qatar this morning confirmed that they had signed with the British royal family an arrangement that will see Prince William and Kate Middleton’s first child named Qatar Airways.
According to Buckingham Palace sources, the 10-year contract – rumoured to be worth “hundreds of millions of dollars” – almost crashed when a Qatari envoy accidentally asked William “which wife was it?”.
As part of the deal and in a break from royal tradition, Qatar Airways Windsor will be formerly revealed to the public by a proclamation displayed at the entrance to London’s Harrods department store.

I think its very clever – Qatar Airways is non gender specific and so the name will fit for either sex Prince Qatar Airways or Princess Qatar Airways. My Question is – what if god blesses William and Kate Windsor with another child…Will Qatar airways have a Low Cost Carrier that could follow on the sponsor ship deal in time?

I totally agree! What a scrounger! Bet they claim more than they deserve too! And I love the Daily Mail! They should do a story on how cool Barasti is or something so Dubai doesn’t look so bad… after that story about people doing naughty things in a taxi we expats could do with some good press. I am glad that common sense has finally prevailed – a recent report from Buckngham Palace confirms – “an agreement has been reached between the Emir of Qatar and the House of WIndsor has agreed on the compromise to the heir to the throne. Although named George in the English tradition, Their Highnesses has consented to spelling the name “George” with a “Q” – thus the heir to the throne will be Christened QeorQe Alexander Louis”

What an event! You could not find a girl name that deserves in all corners of Qatar. Qatari airways will fly high a british name for 10 years-while our children (for instance Palestinian ) sinking into a human bondage of hardships- would not that hard enough to get response from Qatari royals.
