Saudi cancels plans for Jodie Foster theme park after star’s ‘coming out’ at Golden Globes

RIYADH: Jodie Foster Land, a 60-acre theme park celebrating the career of US actress Jodie Foster that was to be built on the outskirts of the Saudi capital, has been put on “indefinite hold” following the star’s much-talked about ‘coming out’ at the Golden Globe Awards on Sunday night.
According to the initial proposals, the $550 million theme park was to “take guests on a fun-packed journey through the award-winning actress’ life”, and feature “a thrill-seeking series of exhilarating white-knuckle rides based around her more famous roles”.
In a prepared statement, developers Al-Saud Entertainment said that they were “shocked and saddened” by Foster’s speech at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles, and that it “broke a bond of trust” with the actress. “With a heavy heart, we have had no choice but to put our plans for Jodie Foster Land on indefinite hold. We offer our apologies to those who were looking forward to enjoying its state-of-the-art leisure facilities,” they said.

Its fine, I have just read on the news wire that Tom Cruise & John Travolta have stepped in with a rescue package to keep the project on track, it will now be called The Saudi World Of Cruising
