Saudi man who divorced wife via MySpace branded “out of touch”
RIYADH: A Saudi man who divorced his wife using MySpace has been described as “completely out of touch” by critics. Last week it was reported that the anonymous gentleman had messaged his wife of 10 months demanding a divorce via the social media platform, a request approved by a judge in the city of Medina because it mentioned the word three times.
But the move has been met with derision from all corners of the globe, with many claiming his use of the online community “showed a complete lack of appreciation of modern times” and was “medieval”.
“Could he not have made a Vine video or something?” asked @DigiTrendster89 on Twitter.
