Stock photo featuring pseudo-philosophical quote “perfectly” sums up woman’s life values

BEIRUT, LEBANON: A Lebanese woman took to social media earlier this morning to post a stock photo of a sunrise onto which a quote by a well-known author had been written in italics.

“So true. This is just me, 100 per cent,” said Beirut-based Dina Albadwi of the combination of pixelated photo, still featuring the watermark of the image provider, and quasi-inspirational 22-word line urging people to overcome their fear of failure or treat others with respect or something.

Although the post garnered soon garnered at least two Facebook likes, plus a comment of “love this!” from Albadwi’s like-minded friend Nancy Freija, the 32-year-old HR manager has admitted to being disappointed by the overall response.

“I’ve reposted about 50 or so photo and quote combos I found on the internet this month, and to be honest they’ve been getting ever-decreasing reactions. I guess people out there just aren’t interested in attaining their dreams, never giving up, finding true love, understanding who their real friends are or coming back stronger from every knock life throws at them.”
