Tehran council undecided on whether to name road after Gore Vidal

TEHRAN: There was stalemate in Tehran’s city hall yesterday after a decision on whether to name a road after celebrated US author and essayist Gore Vidal, who passed away on Tuesday, couldn’t be reached.

“Obviously, he was extremely vocal against US foreign policy and Israel, which is great and all that,” said one councillor. “But, you know, then there was that other thing.”
