The Sex and the City girls are said to be “super excited” about filming in Gaza
GAZA CITY: There were rare scenes of joy across the the Occupied Palestine Territories yesterday after it was announced that the third Sex and the City film would be set in the troubled area.
Sex in the City 3, due to start filming next year, will see Carrie and the girls embark on a lavish holiday to Turkey. However, things a set to go astray when they board the wrong yacht and find themselves on a flotilla of peace vessels heading towards Gaza.
According to Hollywood sources, the script has Samantha’s insistence on sunbathing in a rather revealing bikini alerting the attention of the Israeli navy, but the girls manage to slip through after a song and dance performance of ‘Push It’ by Salt ‘N’ Pepa.
The fabulous foursome are eventually left to wander the streets of Gaza City, luggageless and without a pair of Jimmy Choos between them. In the end, it’s up to Mr Big to make peace with Netanyahu, lift the blockade and reunite the girls with their wardrobes.
“We’re so excited,” said Gaza resident Asmaa Hamdan. “I just hope I get to meet Kim.”

Given the stunning critical success of the last two films, the setting comes as no surpise. A master-stroke from the writers indeed. My only hope is that Kim Cattrall does not die before principal photography. Assuming she does not, a $400 million budget should be enough to take care of the airbrushing… and the Armoured Personnel Carriers

I am from Gaza City, and i would like to say this is going to be a unique film. I expect it to make lots of money as it will tremendously enlarge the number of viewers. In fact, it is smart how it brings people from the east and the west to watch something they somehow relate to. Gaza will be as always a safe heaven to these fabulous actresses and will add a sense of uniqueness and excitement to all whom it may concern.

I cannot see how this film will bring success to Gaza since the last movie was filmed in Morocco and not the UAE at all. It is disrespectful to film a movie in such a way to not represent the intended country accurately.

The problem with the second film was that there was no city in sex and the city. It’s senseless to create superficial distractions by placing the characters in far off locations. What was great about the series was the relationships between the characters and their relationship with NYC.

Can women actually wear bikini in Gaza or are they going to be arrested because of that?

Is it my imagination or at least two of the comments above taking this seriously? Anyway, comic genius, of course – although surely Samantha would be sunbathing topless, not just in a teenie bikini?

Of course they do, it’s part of the plot!
I’d tell you how they, “negotiate” wink wink, their way out of detention, but that would spoil it. You’ll have to watch the film!

While aboard the Gaza-bound peace flotilla, Samantha will single-handedly defeat an entire squad of Israeli naval commandos by giving them all VD.

I still watch the first 2 movies of Sex & the City. I’m thrilled to death that there is going to be a 3rd one with the 4 original stars. Thank you all for doing this again. I know it’s a lot of work. Thank you. lbrown1413
