Luxury Champagne house Veuve Clicquot is hoping to bring vintage rain to the UAE with its own brand of cloud seeding operations.
Unveiled yesterday, Yellow Label Brut cloud seeding will see specially-equipped King Air C90 plane inject clouds with a complex blend of Pinot Noir, Meunier and Chardonnay to produce a sparkling rainfall Veuve Clicquot describes as the “perfect balance between power and finesse.”
“Those living in the UAE demand the finest, most exclusive things in life, and there’s no reason this should stop with precipitation,” said Veuve Clicquot’s regional aviation director Marcus Rutger-Bore. “Our Yellow Label Brut operations will offer a world-first in luxury showers, giving light, ticklish bubbles, notes of white fruits, vanilla and later brioche, with savoury edges on the finish.”
Rutger-Bore added that, in time, Veuve Clicquot’s cloud seeding operations would expand to include other varieties of Champagne, including rose, demi-sec and even some from its vintage collections.
“However, we do advise parents to ensure that those under the age of 18 are indoors or at least have their mouths closed!”
