DUBAI: According to onlookers, the man currently larking about on a jet ski in the sea off the Jumeirah coast is “blissfully unaware” just how many people on the beach think he’s a complete jerk.

The man, who has been riding up and down the shoreline for approximately 40 minutes, is said to have “absolutely no idea” that the vast majority of beachgoers within audible distance of his motorised watercraft’s engine have independently formed the conclusion that they hate him.

“It’s so weird to think that he’s just over there, practically a stone’s throw away, cutting up the waves and thinking that he’s living in some sort of cheesy 1980s advert, and yet totally clueless as to just how many of us have secretly wished to ourselves that he falls off,” said an eyewitness.

A survey revealed that of 1000 people asked, over 98 per cent wanted the man to tumble comically into the water, the jet ski to speed off out to sea and the man to paddle slowly to shore looking sad and dejected and with “all bits of seaweed and fish in his hair”.

I was witness to a really unusual encounter last week when two guys on JetSkis were embarrassing themselves in front of a small crowd of people. Both the guys kept looking at some women then doing JetSki stunts just like my 3 year old does at home with his scooter. The women were laughing at such fun.
One of the women said it was good to see they let them out into the community while reaching inside her bag for the pepper spray. Some time later they were seen swerving around the road in their 5 litre GMC’s trying to impress the local Indian population with their lights flashing and horns blazing.
One local driver laughed and waived at the GMC’s as he braked hard and skidded narrowly missing a street lamp when the GMC’s played ‘chicken’ with him and his young child.
    Exciting times!!

What you witnessed, Muttley, was a rare public display of a practice session for the UAE Synchronized SUV Dare-Devil Stunt Team…exciting times, indeed…
